His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard vs. Rotor Maxx Renegades
Getting together for the final week of regular‑season play, the Darts of Hazzard hosted the league frontrunners, the Renegades, for a well‑fought match. The Renegades burst out of the gate, sweeping all three doubles and taking four of the first five singles games before Hazzard’s John Coulter finally put a mark on the board for the home team.
Unfortunately for the Hazzards, the momentum didn’t shift. The Renegades continued their dominant run, winning four of the next five games in each of the following two sets and finishing the night with a whitewash in the final set.
Leading the charge for the Renegades, Thom Ford and Terry Strawson went undefeated in five singles each. Lorraine Paquette, Rocky Paquette, Larry MacDonald, and Terry Strawson all shared the team high score of 140. Larry MacDonald made a spirited attempt to top his season‑high 105 but settled for a tidy 92 checkout—still, nice darts Larry!
For the Darts of Hazzard, Heath Mahoney led the wins with three singles victories in six attempts, while John Coulter added two wins and pinned a 132 for the team’s high score.
Final Score: His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard – 8 Rotor Maxx Renegades – 25
French Creek Pub Dart Vaders vs. Eagles Hall X‑Men
At the Parksville Legion, the Dart Vaders hosted the Eagles Hall X‑Men for a hearty thirty‑three‑game showdown. The Vaders brought in spare Randy Burrows to round out their roster, while the X‑Men tapped into the fresh skills of new league spare Vern Phillips.
The matches were competitive throughout, but the Vaders steadily pulled ahead over the course of the six singles sets. Steve Collins led the team with a perfect five‑for‑five performance, while Donna Ermantrout, Warren Potter, Dave Edwards, and Randy Burrows each contributed three wins in five games. Warren Potter also topped the team scores with a 127.
For the X‑Men, new spare Vern Phillips impressed with four wins in five matches. Birthday boy Pony Moore didn’t find success in the win column, but he lit up the scoreboard with three 100s and a 133 to claim the team high score.
Final Score: French Creek Pub Dart Vaders – 19 Eagles Hall X‑Men – 14
Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew vs. Eagles Hall Double Eagles
Also at the Parksville Legion, the Short Sighted Crew welcomed the Double Eagles for a fun‑filled night of darts. The Double Eagles came out strong, leading the first two sets before faltering through four consecutive sets. They rallied for the final set, but the Crew had already secured the victory.
Captain Don Punter was unstoppable, winning all six of his matches. Strong support came from Mike Rundsteadler—who returned this week as if nothing had been amiss—and Carolyn Hawryluk, both earning four wins each. Kevin Martin added three wins and topped the team scores with a 138 in his match against Will Crompton.
For the Double Eagles, Captain Toni Crompton and her son Will each claimed three wins, with Will also pinning the team high score of 116—just one point ahead of Sue Barry’s 115.

Eagles Hall Straight Arrows vs. The Bashers
Back at the Eagles Hall, the Straight Arrows handed The Bashers their flights in a decisive victory. Three doubles wins and two early whitewashes set the tone for the night.
Mike Beno went undefeated in his six singles matches, while teammates Roy Neill and Poul Reimer each dropped only one match—to Basher Tom Ayley—adding five points apiece. Captain Rob Clarke topped the scoring with shots of 100, 120, 125 (twice), and 140.
For the Bashers, Tom Ayley led the wins with three victories in five matches, and Anita Hopps delivered the team’s top score with a sharp 135.
