His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard vs. Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew

The Eagles Hall hosted a waiting game on Tuesday night. After a pre-match chat between captains, it was agreed that the Short Sighted Crew’s leader, Don Punter, would sit out, and the Darts of Hazzard would wait for teammate Mike Runsteadler to arrive. Unfortunately for the Crew, Mike never made it — echoing a similar situation a few weeks back when the team had to borrow a spare from the X-Men. This time, no spare stepped in, and the Crew were forced to forfeit seven points.

The Hazzard’s took full advantage, playing sharp darts all evening. Heath Mahoney and Brody Jenkinson both went undefeated in four matches, with Brody hitting a 98 out — edging past his previous leaderboard entry of 97 and matching teammate Heath’s season high. John Coulter topped the team’s scoring with a 125 in his win over Kevin Martin.

Despite being short-handed, the Crew put up a fight. Jeff Rhode led the charge with four wins in six matches and delivered nearly all of the team’s high scores: 114, 124, 125, and a standout 140. Only Carolyn Hawryluk got even close with a 132. Nice darts, Jeff.

Final Score: His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard 22 – Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew 11

Rotor Maxx Renegades vs. Eagles Hall X-Men

Over at the Parksville Legion, the Rotor Maxx Renegades hosted the Eagles Hall X-Men in a tightly contested match. The Renegades came out strong, sweeping all three doubles games. The X-Men answered back with determination, taking the first three singles sets before the Renegades finally halted their momentum.

Heading into the final set, the X-Men held a narrow 15–13 lead — but the Renegades weren’t done. They delivered a clean sweep in the last set, flipping the score and securing the win.

Terry Strawson was the Renegades’ standout, dropping only one match (to Fraser Vincent) and hitting a team-high 129 against Pony Moore. For the X-Men, Captain Todd Burnham and Fraser Vincent each earned four wins in six games, while Glen Dilworth posted the team’s top score with a 131 in his match against Strawson.

Final Score: Rotor Maxx Renegades 18 – Eagles Hall X-Men 15

Eagles Hall Straight Arrows vs. Eagles Hall Double Eagles

Back at the Eagles Hall, the Straight Arrows hosted the Double Eagles in a spirited 33-game showdown. After letting two of the first three games slip away, the Straight Arrows took control, dominating five of the six singles sets.

Mike Beno led the Straight Arrows with a perfect night, winning all five of his matches. Spare Darcy Guenette added three wins and topped the team’s scoring with a 126. For the Double Eagles, wins were spread evenly: Captain Toni Crompton, Sue Barry, Alan Barry, and spare Arless McNeill each picked up two victories. Colleen McNeill delivered the team’s high score with a 124 in her match against Beno.

Final Score: Eagles Hall Straight Arrows 22 – Eagles Hall Double Eagles 11

French Creek Pub Dart Vaders vs. Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples

Tucked beside the fire exit at the Parksville Legion, the French Creek Pub Dart Vaders welcomed the Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples for an evenly matched night of darts. Playing without longtime spare Ryan Denbigh, the Vaders faced a Triples squad bolstered by two spares to round out their roster.

The teams traded wins through the early sets, but in the fifth singles set the Vaders pulled ahead and held their three‑point edge through to the finish.

Warren Potter led the Vaders with five wins in six matches, losing only to Denise “Dynamo” Tabler. He also claimed both team high scores with a 133 and a 121. For the Triples, spare Randy Burrows impressed with four wins in five games. Interestingly, not a single Triples player cracked 100 on the scoreboard — a reminder that high scores don’t always translate to wins.

Final Score: French Creek Pub Dart Vaders 18 – Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples 15
