A Night of Nail‑Biters, Knockouts, and Notable Numbers

Bashers vs. His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard

Meeting at the Parksville Legion, the Bashers hosted the His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard and delivered a decisive, unapologetic arse‑whooping. The Bashers took control early, winning two of the three doubles and sweeping the first set before the Hazzards finally found their doubles.

Despite a determined push from the visitors, the Bashers dominated all but one set. Anita Hopps and Tom Ayley led the charge with perfect five‑win singles records, while Joe Fortune lit up the scoreboard with a 100, 117, 133, and 140, plus four singles wins.

For the Hazzards, Heath Mahoney stood tall with three singles wins, and Babes Coulter added two more while hammering in high scores of 101, 102, and a team‑topping 117.

Final Score: Bashers 22 – His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard 11

Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples vs. Eagles Hall X‑Men

On the neighbouring boards, the Oceanside Triples surprised the Eagles Hall X‑Men with a late‑night surge that carried them to victory. After a slow start, the Triples gathered steam and outplayed the X‑Men in the final four sets.

Top wins for the Triples came from Mike Blouin and spare Randy Burrows, each taking four of five singles. Mike and spare Jolene Swanson shared high‑score honours with matching 132s.

For the X‑Men, Pony Moore was the standout, losing only to Jolene and Mike in his six singles. Pony also fired in a 115 to edge out teammate Glen Dilworth’s 114 for team high score.

Final Score: Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples 19 – Eagles Hall X‑Men 14

Eagles Hall Straight Arrows vs. Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew

At the Eagles Hall, the Straight Arrows and the Short Sighted Crew delivered the most dramatic match of the night. With the Arrows leading 15–13 heading into the final set, the Crew mounted a fierce comeback to tie things 16–16.

The entire match came down to one last showdown: Arrow Ron Keast vs. Crew’s Carolyn Hawryluk. Ron found his double first, sealing the win for the Arrows.

Mike Beno and Roy Neill shared top‑win honours for the Arrows with four singles wins each, while Poul Reimer posted the team’s high score with a 121. For the Crew, Captain Don Punter went undefeated in five singles, and Jo Metz topped their scoring with a 116.

Eagles Hall Double Eagles vs. French Creek Pub Dart Vaders

The final match of the night featured the Double Eagles hosting the French Creek Pub Dart Vaders (with spare Steve Callaghan). The Vaders came out blazing, sweeping all three doubles and dominating the first two singles sets before the Double Eagles finally answered back.

Steve Collins led the Vaders with four wins in five singles and a sharp 133 for team high score. For the Double Eagles, the husband‑and‑wife duo of Alan and Sue Barry were unstoppable, each winning five of six singles. Sue was particularly on fire, dropping a 114 against Donna Ermantrout to top the team’s scoring.
