First off, my apologies for the delay in getting this out, my side-gig took up all of the past weekend and an executive meeting was first on tonight's schedule. I will endeavor to be early with the next blog, because I am busy again next weekend.

Playing out of the Eagles Hall, the His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard hosted the Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew to a closely match night of darts. Taking all three of the doubles matches, the Short Sighted Crew were off to a quick start but stalled once the singles games proceeded, coming up short in the first four sets of singles, leaving them one point behind the Hazzards heading into the fifth set. Valiant efforts by both teams brought the match to a 14-14 tie at the start of the final singles set. A 4-1 victory by the Crew put them over the finish line, three points ahead of the home team Hazzards. Leading the wins for the Crew, Peter Bisiker and Jeff Rhode brought 5 wins each to the final tally. Jo Metz and Mike Runsteadler tied for top score – both hitting a 140. Leading the wins for the Hazzards, Heath Mahoney and Brody Jenkinson were victorious in 4 of their six singles games. Heath also earned team high score of the night, pinning a 140 in his winning match against Crew member Jo Metz.

Getting together at the Parksville Legion, the Roto Maxx Renegades hosted the Eagles Hall X-Men to a humbling night of darts. With two of the X-Men absent and two brand new spares brought in, the X-Men were at a bit of a disadvantage compared to other weeks. Leaping out of the gate, winning all three doubles, the Renegades were off to the races, winning the first set before the X-Men gathered their doubles and bested the Renegades in the second set. The win was short-lived for the X-Men though, as the Renegades gathered more and more steam and produced two whitewash sets and a 4-1 win before a final 3-2 score in the final set. Leading the wins for the Renegades, Thom Ford was unstoppable with his doubles, winning all six of his singles. Teammates, George Wallis and Larry MacDonald each brought five wins and Rocky garnered top score, hitting a 134 in his unsuccessful bid against X-Men Craig Dempsey. Leading the wins for the X-Men, Glen Dilworth was his usual self, winning three of five games before dashing off to home and wife. The two new spares, Randy Burrows and Steven Scott, were a bit overwhelmed I’m sure, playing well in their inaugural match in the league. Welcome guys, thanks for coming out! Glen also pinned a 135 for top score for the team.
Final score Roto Maxx Renegades – 25, Eagles Hall X-Men – 8
