Pre-registration and a stern warning about cancelling seems to have brought out a record number of players to the Money Shoot held February 21st at the Parksville Legion. With 25 pre-registered, 20 players arrived before the registration deadline. There were the usual league players at this shoot, plus four non-league members who played very well.

The Straight in Double Out 501 format was a blind draw of ten teams, with 12 men and 8 women evenly spread out amongst the teams.

Renegade's Thom Ford was paired with the Missing Baldwin Brother, Aaron, who hails from Nanoose and currently plays for the Nanaimo league. He can be seen in the right foreground of the photo, wearing his lucky Guns & Roses t-shirt. Both players wowed everyone by winning all nine matches to come in first place, and shared the winning pot of $100. Congrats!!

Basher Magi Trenholme partnered with Alem Clark, son of Straight Arrow's Rob Clark and won eight of nine matches, to claim the second prize pot of $60.

Third place went to the duo of Basher Joe Fortune and Dart Vader Donna Ermantrout battled and lost only to the first and second place teams, besting seven of nine other teams to win the $40 shared pot for third place.

Unfortunately, the executive did not obtain a gaming license in time to hold the 50/50 draw planned, but we will be better prepared next time, as this is the only money that comes back to the league, with 100% of the proceeds won by participants.

Thom Ford had four chances to win the snowball, as did Angie Hale and Rocky Paquette, so it was not surprising when Magi Trenholme pulled his score of 93 to win the $40 snowball prize. Congrats Thom, you had a very lucrative day at the Parksville Legion. Enjoy your winnings.

Honorable mentions go to Aaron Baldwin and Donna Ermantrout, who had Men's High Score (140) and Ladies High Score (117), while Angie Hale had Ladies High Out (99) and Alem Clark had Men's High Out (74).

Thank you to all twenty players who came out and had a fantastic fun afternoon of darts. Looking forward to the next one, which won't be until October 2026.
