In our final week of Tuesday/Wednesday games, the Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew hosted the Darts of Hazzard at the Eagles Hall for their last away-from-home game.  Starting off with a two-one lead over the Hazzards in the doubles, the Crew struggled in the first set of singles gaining only one additional point before rallying and forging ahead.  Crew member, Peter Bisiker, lead the singles wins in five of his six matches, with equal support of three wins each from the rest of the team.  Mike Runstedler topped the scores with a 121 in his attempt to best Hazardous Heath Mahoney.  Darts of Hazzard’s, Brody Jenkinson, topped the team scores with four wins in five matches while Heath and Babes Coulter topped the scores with a 140 each.

Filling up the rest of the boards at the Eagles, the Eagles Hall X-Men hosted the Roto Maxx Renegades to thirty-three games of 501.  Taking the lead early and not letting it go, the Renegades dominated the home team in doubles and all six singles matches.  Leading the wins for the Renegades was a three-way tie for Captain Lorraine Paquette, George Wallis and Larry MacDonald, all proving unbeatable in their five singles. Thom Ford, who achieved four wins in five games, topped the scores with a 124, 133 and a 137 throughout the night. Leading the wins for the X-Men, Pony Moore bested two of his opponents in five matches and team mate, Glen Dilworth, topped the scores with a 133 in his only winning match against Renegade Rocky Paquette.

The hopefully final Wednesday night match of the season, the Eagles Hall Double Eagles hosted the Eagles Hall Straight Arrows to a home-grown venue night of darts.  The Double Eagles struggled with their doubles throughout the night, with the Straight Arrows coming out victorious in set after set.  Leading the wins for the Arrows, Mike Beno and Rob Clark both winning all five of their singles matches.  Rob was the star of the show Wednesday night, not only winning all his matches, but topping the scores with a 140, edging out Poul Reimer’s 133 score.  Leading the wins for the Double Eagles, Alan Barry, was successful in 50% of his six matches.  Pat Bannister, produced two wins in six and topped the scores with a 100 and a 112.

Final score Eagles Hall Double Eagles – 8, Eagles Hall Straight Arrows – 25

The fourth match of the week involved the Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples hosting the His & Hers Hair Salon Dart Vaders to a nail-biting night of darts.  The home team presented a slow but steady offense against the Dart Vaders, but a 4-1 win for the Vaders in the fifth singles set put them in the lead by two points.  Despite a valiant attempt by the Triples, winning three of the final five games, it wasn’t quite enough to overtake their opponents.  Leading the wins for the Vaders, Steve Collins, was undefeated in six singles and topped the team scores with a 133.  Triple’s wins were a four-way tie for first for Captain Jim Hood, Darren Tabler, Jim McArthur and Mike Blouin, each bringing three wins in five matches to the final score.  Keith Reimer topped the scores with a 101 and a 115.  Mike Blouin joined the darting elite on the Leader Board with a fifth-place spot for High Outs, pinning a 102 in his match against Vader’s Donna Ermantrout.

Final score Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples – 16, French Creek Pub Dart Vaders – 17
