Darts, Drama, and Determination Across the Boards
His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard vs. Eagles Hall Double Eagles
Tucked into the far end of the Eagles Hall, the His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard hosted the Double Eagles for a lively night of darts. The Hazzard crew came out swinging, taking two of the three doubles games and rolling that momentum into wins in the first two singles sets.
But the Double Eagles weren’t ready to fold. They rallied hard, sweeping the next three sets to tie the match 14–14. With the pressure on, the Darts of Hazzard delivered a full whitewash in the final set to seal the victory.
John Coulter led the charge for the Hazzard’s, dropping only one match—against the Double Eagles’ Alan Barry—in his five trips to the oche. Teammate Heath Mahoney added three wins and posted the team’s top score of 140 in his battle with Barry.
Alan Barry was equally fierce for the Double Eagles, winning four of his five matches and firing a 130 against Mahoney.
Final Score: His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard 19 – Eagles Hall Double Eagles 14

Roto Maxx Renegades vs. Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples
Over at the Parksville Legion, the Roto Maxx Renegades welcomed the Oceanside Triples for thirty-three games of steady arrow-chucking. The league’s top team took control early and held it until the third singles set, where the Triples managed a 3–2 win.
The Renegades quickly shook it off, answering with a 3–2 set and then two decisive 4–1 sets to close out the night. Captain Lorraine Paquette snapped her four‑week slump in style, winning five of her six singles matches. Larry MacDonald and Thom Ford each added four wins in their six games.
Though not their biggest win of the season, the Renegades stayed comfortably ahead throughout. Rocky Paquette had a tough night finding doubles, but still topped the team’s scoring with a 123.
For the Oceanside Triples, Denise Tabler, Keith Reimer, and Mike Blouin shared top honours with three wins each. Captain Jim Hood mirrored Rocky’s night—just one win, but a sharp 115 to lead his team’s scoring.
Final Score: Roto Maxx Renegades 20 – Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples 10

French Creek Pub Dart Vaders vs. The Bashers
On the neighbouring boards, the French Creek Pub Dart Vaders hosted the Bashers—and the visitors wasted no time asserting themselves. The Bashers swept the doubles and
dominated four of the six singles sets with scores of 5–0, 4–1 (twice), and 3–2.
Joltin’ Joe Fortune was unstoppable, going undefeated in his five singles matches. Spare Ryan Denbigh—facing the team he had recently spared for—also went five-for-five and even pinned a perfect score against Vader Ken Ermantrout. Anita Hopps struggled to find her doubles early, but still landed a 121 against Dave Edwards to top the Basher scoring.
For the Vaders, Rod Swindells and Warren Potter each picked up three wins in their six singles games, with Rod also posting the team’s top score of 124 against Denbigh.
Final Score: French Creek Pub Dart Vaders 10 – The Bashers 23

Eagles Hall X-Men vs. Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew
At the Eagles Hall, the X-Men waited patiently as the Short Sighted Crew scrambled to field a full team. With three Crew players already unavailable, spare Jolene Swanson had been recruited—but when a fourth player failed to arrive, the Crew were left short-handed.
In a true show of sportsmanship, X-Men acting captain Pony Moore offered their own spare, Randy Burrows, to balance the teams and ensure a proper match. A classy move that kept the night competitive and fun.
The games themselves, however, leaned heavily in favour of the X-Men. Craig Dempsey and Rob Sparrow each won five of their six singles matches, with Craig firing a 126 against Burrows for the team’s top score.
For the Crew, spare Randy Burrows led the way, losing only to Dempsey in his six matches. The rest of the Crew managed one win apiece. Jo Metz topped their scoring with a sharp 121 in her match against Fraser Vincent.
Final Score: Eagles Hall X-Men 23 – Parksville Legion Short Sighted Crew 10
