
Getting together at the Eagles Hall, the Eagle Eyes hosted the Bristle Bashers for a steam roller of a match. The home team faced their opponents bravely as the Bashers doubled out the first five matches before Eagle Eye, Heath Maloney, garnered the first of his three wins. Faith Hamilton-Thorne pinned a 127 score in her match against Ryan Lane to attain the team high score of the night. While most of the team ended the night with a goose egg, Heath won three matches and John Coulter stole a win from Darrell Jobb. Four of the seven Bashers were undefeated at the end of the match and Basher, Ken Hayes, hit a 156 to top the scores for the team.

Playing at their home venue, the Qualicum Beach Legion Shooters hosted the Morningstar Triples to thirty-three games of darts. Taking the lead early, the Shooters dominated their opponents throughout the entire match. Leading the wins for the Shooters, Thom Ford, was undefeated in his five singles games. Shooter Lee Page topped team scores with a 140, 134, 125x2 and 121. Larry MacDonald moved up the Leader Board with a 94 check out against Denise Tabler, now sitting in the #9 position from #16. Leading the wins for the Triples, Keith Reimer doubled out before three of his opponents in his five singles games. Team mate Tom Rodgers won two matches and shot a 127 against rival Larry MacDonald to garner the top score for the team.

Coming up short a player didn’t stop the Eagles Hall Double Eagles from playing their match against fellow Eagles Hall team, the Straight Arrows. Despite losing seven points right off the hop, the home team played well with spare, Harry Ross, winning four of his six matches. Captain Toni Crompton topped the team scores with a 134 in her first singles match of the night against Straight Arrow Mike Beno. Mike Beno had the most wins for the team with four wins in four played matches and team mate, Shane Ovington, topped the scores with a 137 shot in his winning match again Colleen McNeill.

Player illness and a lack of available spares postponed the match between the PV Legion Respect-A-Bulls and the Eagles Hall X-Men.

Meeting at the Parksville Legion the Dart Legends hosted the QB Legion Short Sighted Crew, minus their top players Don Punter and Peter Bisiker (due to injury and travelling respectively) and achieved their first win of the season. Leading the wins for the Legends, Dave Edwards, not to be confused with Welsh rocker Dave Edmunds, showed off his new 27-gram darts by winning five of his six singles games. With a resounding THUD in the board, he also pinned a 140 score to join team mate, Ken Ermantrout, as the high scorers of the evening. Leading the wins for the Crew was a tie between Mike Runsteader and Jeff Rhode, both reaping four wins in each of their six singles matches. Mike topped the scores for the team, hitting a 129 in his winning match against Legend Ken Ermantrout.
