Playing the final week before we break for Christmas holidays, the Darts of Hazzards handed the Eagles Hall Double Eagles their flights at the Eagles Hall on Tuesday night. Not playing well in the doubles, the Darts of Hazzard, had an immediate reversal as soon as they began playing the singles. It took nine singles games before Double Eagle, Karen Bannister, snared the first point for her team. Two whitewash sets and two four-to-one sets by the Darts of Hazzard guaranteed their win. Topping the wins for the Darts of Hazzard, Heath Mahoney, Brody Jenkinson and Faith Hamilton-Thorne were undefeated in five singles games by the end of the match. Team high score – 115 – went to Heath Mahoney. Leading the wins for the Double Eagles, Pat Bannister pulled three wins away from the Marauding Hazzards and pinned a 127 in his match against Brody, to earn team high score for the night.

The Roto Maxx Renegades hosted the Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples to seven sets of darts at the Parksville Legion. The Triples took two of the three doubles games, to get off to a good start, but that ground to a halt as soon as the singles games began. Winning all five of their singles games, Larry MacDonald and Terry Strawson cemented their positions as the top two players in the league right now. Larry and Terry also pinned 140’s to share the team high score of the night. Triples’ top players for the evening, both winning two of their five matches, was shared between Jim Hood and Keith Reimer. Jim also had team high score of 135 in his winning match against Renegade Lorraine Paquette. Dynamite Denise Tabler landed herself in first place on the Ladies High out for the season, hitting a 96 out against Renegade Rocky Paquette.
Final score Roto Maxx Renegades – 24, Deep Bay Consulting Oceanside Triples – 9

Playing on the other boards at the Parksville Legion, the French Creek Pub Dart Vaders welcomed the Bashers to thirty-three games of darts. It was a real nail biter, with the score agonizingly close by the fifth set of singles. Giving it their best, the Bashers were unable to tip the score in their favour, as Vader Donna Ermantrout, Captain Dave Edwards and Rod Swindell’s wins pushed their score to 17. Teammates, Steve Collins and Ken Ermantrout, topped the wins with four each in six singles. Steve hit a 133 in his winning match against Basher Anita Hopps to earn team high score for the night. The Basher’s Joe Fortune and new player, Magi Trenholm (I finally learned how to spell her first name) both won four of their six singles games, and Joe hit a 138 to earn team high score for the match.
Final score French Creek Pub Dart Vaders – 17, The Bashers – 16
