The Eagles Hall Eagle Eyes welcomed the league’s #2 team, Cascadia Bristle Bashers, to thirty-three games of darts. The Eagle Eyes played their hearts out, but were unable to get any traction over the Bashers. Leading the wins for the Eagle Eyes, Arless McNeill bested four of the five opponents he faced. Topping the scores, Toni Crompton hit a 133 in her winning match against Basher Steve Collins. Leading the wins for the Bristle Bashers was a three-way tie with five wins in six for Terry Strawson, Steve Collins and Warren Potter. Basher Dustin Fee made his way onto the Leader Board with an 87 check-out in his match against Colleen McNeill. Terry Strawson was el fuego, scoring 140x2, 125xx2, 121 and 100 x3.

Meeting at the Qualicum Beach Legion Tuesday night, the Legion Shooters hosted the Toolshed Triples. Much like the Eagle Eyes, the Triples couldn’t get a foothold against the league’s top team. Captain Lorraine Paquette, Lee Page and Thom Ford were unbeatable in their five singles matches. Both Lorraine and Lee topped the scores for the team – both hitting a 140 (Lee got two even). Shooter Larry MacDonald was the most prolific high scorer, pinning 121, 120, 119, and 100x2. Five of the six Triples took one win from the home team. Keith Reimer and Denise Tabler both shot the top score of 125, with Denise throwing a 124 and Keith hit another 125 in his match against Lee.

Gathering at the Parksville Legion, the River Benders and the Jokers Wild met for a thrilling, fast-paced night of darts. Taking the lead early, the River Benders, took four of the first five singles, keeping up the pressure until the sixth set when the Jokers Wild returned the favour. Leading the wins for the home team, Captain Jim Thompson, and Mike Percey both won four of their five matches. Jim pinned his first perfect score of the season in his match against Richard Rempel. Topping the scores for the home team, Craig Dempsey hit a 127 in his match against Jokers Wild Jolene Swanson, who leapt to the top of the Leader Board’s Ladies high out with an two-dart 89 check-out. Most wins for the Jokers Wild was four out of five for Richard Rempel, supported by three wins each from Jolene and Kevin Gillespie. High scorer for Jokers Wild was Dave Edwards, who hit a 113.

Leading the wins for the home team, Darren “Opie” Wesnoski, lost only to Crew’s Don Punter during his six singles matches. X-Men Glen Dilworth, Pony Moore and Fraser Vincent all contributed four wins each. Opie and Pony hit the high score of the night with matching 140’s. Leading the wins for the Crew, Don Punter was undefeated in his five matches. Crew member, Peter Bisiker, hit top scores of 140, 121, and 100x3 in his path to winning three of his five matches.
