Meeting at the Eagles Hall on a Tuesday night, home team – Toolshed Triples – welcomed the Qualicum Legion B-Sharps to a fun night of darts. Leading after the second set, the B-Sharps never let go of it through to a 22 to 11 win for the aways. B-Sharps Arless McNeil was on-point perfect, winning all six of his matches, as well as hitting scores of 140, 120 and 100x3. The ladies of the team had his back too – Betty Ann Moffat, Anna Daschuk and Colleen McNeil – won four of their six matches. Leading the wins for the Triples, Denise Tabler doubled out four of her six matches and hit team high score of 120.

The Comfort Group X-Men met up at the Bulls Hitters’ Qualicum Beach Legion for 33 games of darts. Playing evenly throughout most of the night, the Bulls Hitters pulled ahead in the fourth singles set and continued to hold their lead until the final match. Leading the wins for the Hitters, Alan Farmer and the returning Steve Bird, each won four of their five matches. High score – 140 – also went to Steve. Most wins for the X-Men was Todd Burnham’s five out of six. High score went to Glenn Dilworth with scores of 140, 132, 123 and 121x2. Final score 19 to 14 for the home team!

Playing at the Parksville Legion, the Legion Shooters showed the Eagles Hall Straight Arrows why they are in the top spot in the league. Taking charge from the first set, the Arrows could barely catch their breath between sets. The Legion Shooters had three unbeatable players on Tuesday – Lorraine Hopps, Thom Ford and George Wallis – winning all five of their matches. George Wallis hit a 138 to earn team High Scorer for the week. Straight Arrows’ John Curtis beat George’s score with a 140 to get his team High Score. Final score was 28 wins for the home team and five for the aways.

Also playing at the Eagles Hall, the Eagle Eyes hosted the Cascadia Bristle Bashers. Coming to the oche strong, the Cascadia Bristle Bashers took the lead and didn’t let go until the night was over. Bristle Basher Don Enockson was unstoppable in the doubles, winning all six of his matches. Steve Collins won five of his six games and earned team High Score of 140x2! Tedd Ducker lead the Eagle Eyes with three wins in five matches and team high score of 125.
