Playing at the Eagles Hall, the Eagles Hall X-Men hosted the His & Hers Salon Darts of Hazzard to a nail-biting match of darts.  Starting off the match winning two of three games of doubles, the Darts of Hazzard continued to dominate the first two singles sets before the X-Men produced a whitewash in the third set.  The ensuing wins volleyed back and forth between the two teams, until they were tied at 14 wins each at the start of the final set of the night.  The final match of the night was the tie-breaking game between Hazzard’s Faith Hamilton-Thorne and Rob Sparrow had both teams sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the double to be landed.  Faith’s winning shot put the Darts of Hazzard ahead by one at the end of the night.  Teammate Brody Jenkinson continued his winning streak, losing only one game in the past three weeks to X-Men’s Rob Sparrow.  Brody had a noteworthy double out of 97, to land himself on the Leader Board for the first time since joining the league.  Well done, Brody! Captain Todd Burnham and Pony Moore led the team with four wins each in five singles. Craig Dempsey might have struggled to double out, but he had no problem hitting great scores in his attempts, a 123 and 117.

Filling up the rest of the boards at the Eagles Hall, the Eagles Hall Straight Arrows hosted the French Creek Pub Dart Vaders to a closely matched night of darts.  Taking two of the three doubles games, the Straight Arrows kept ahead of their opponents in the first two of six sets of singles.  The Dart Vaders pushed themselves in the third and fourth set, but it was the final set that determined the winner, with the Vaders taking four of the five final games to win the match by one point.  Leading the wins for the Vaders, Steve Collins and Warren Potter each brought four wins in five singles to the table.  Warren also pinned a 133 to top the team scores for the night.  Straight Arrow’s Mike Beno was undefeated in his five singles and teammate Rob Clarke topped the scores with a 140 in his winning match against Vader Donna Ermantrout.

Back at the Parksville Legion, the Roto Maxx Renegades handed The Bashers a walloping, only letting five games slip through their fingers.  Three of the Renegades – Thom Ford, Terry Strawson and Larry MacDonald – were undefeated in their five singles matches.  Terry shared team high score with Captain Lorraine Paquette, both hitting a 140.  Larry MacDonald hit a noteworthy check out of 99, which didn’t beat his previous Leader Board-worthy check out of 105, better luck next time Larry!  Saying goodbye to team captain, Don Enockson, The Bashers welcomed Maggie Trenholm to join the team for the rest of the season.  Playing with seven, The Bashers, Joe Fortune, defeated three of his five opponents losing only to Terry and Larry.  Teammate, Anita Hopps, topped the team scores, hitting a 140 in her only winning match of the night against Renegade Rocky Paquette.
